Rare earth ETF begins trading

(MarketWatch) -- Van Eck Global on Thursday launched Market Vectors Rare Earth/Strategic Metals ETF (REMX) on the NYSE Arca exchange. It is the first U.S.-listed exchange-traded fund that invests in companies "primarily engaged in the producing, refining, and recycling rare earth/strategic metals," the asset manager said in a press release.
